Valvematic

While a conventional engine controls air intake using a throttle valve, a Valvematic engine adjusts the volume of air taken by continuously controlling the intake valve lift in addition to variable timing of valve opening and closing, which Valvematic inherits from VVT-i. Valvematic engines are also equipped with variable length intake manifold further enhancing the efficiency of the variable valve lift control.

D–4D

The secret of the Toyota D-4D’s outstanding performance is an electronic control unit that accurately balances fuel injection pressure, timing and volume according to how the car is driven and the demands being made on the engine.

D–CAT

Toyota’s D-CAT engine uses a Diesel Particulate and NOx Reduction System. A high-efficiency Exhaust Gas Recirculation cooler (EGR) is used to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gasses being re-circulated into the combustion chamber, and so increases their density. The DPNR is the only catalyst in the world that simultaneously
